Delivery to the UK mainland takes 2–3 weeks.

Delivery to Scotland and the Highlands will take 3–4 weeks.

Delivery process 

• We will ship the mattress with our appointed delivery carrier, who will contact you directly to book a delivery date
• The carrier will email, text, or call you to propose a date for delivery. If accepted by you, they will then proceed with the relevant arrangements. You will be notified whether delivery will be in the morning or in the afternoon
• The courier will either send a text message or email the night before the delivery to confirm delivery the following day and provide a 3-hour delivery window
• The 2-man crew will call you when en route to confirm their anticipated time of arrival.
• Delivery is executed in a professional and timely manner
• The crew will take the mattress to your room of choice, unpack it, and place it on the bed for you. The box and all packaging will be lifted upon departure

Old mattress disposal

• We offer old mattress disposal; you need to choose the 2-man delivery option and add disposal service at checkout. The charge is £60 per piece
• The old mattress will be collected when the new one is delivered. This service is available only if you choose the two-man delivery option at the checkout. Your old mattress is then responsibly recycled here in the UK by a specialist recycling centre

Delivery dates and timeframes are not guaranteed; therefore, we advise against letting go of your old mattress before the delivery of your new one.

All natural latex is harvested from rubber trees. The sap, also called latex milk, is transformed into foam through vulcanisation using natural soaps, vulcanising agents, and gelling agents. Our 100% natural latex is environmentally friendly and contains no solvents or toxic chemicals.

Dunlop Latex

• Invented in 1929, Dunlop latex is poured into moulds and baked.
• The latex particles naturally settle during the process, creating a denser base and slightly softer top, ideal for mattress support cores.
• This durable foam can be customised to different firmness levels.
• Less intensive to produce, making Dunlop mattresses affordable while providing long-lasting comfort and support.

Talalay Latex

• Talalay latex uses a more complex modern process: the latex is whipped into a froth, poured into a mould, vacuum-sealed, and rapidly frozen (-30°C / -22°F) before baking.
• Freezing opens the round cells, which then interconnect to create a highly breathable, consistent, and elastic foam.
• Talalay latex has a uniform feel, lighter, fluffier texture, and superior adaptability to body shape.
• The process is more expensive due to additional steps and smaller mould limitations. 

Yes, the Superior Latex Mattress is a low-chemical product manufactured to recognised safety standards. It is independently tested and certified by organisations such as OEKO-TEX® and eco-INSTITUT, which limit harmful substances and emissions, ensuring a safe and non-toxic sleep environment.

No, the Superior Latex Mattress may have a mild natural rubber scent when first unpacked, particularly with natural latex. This is not the same as chemical off-gassing and usually fades within a short period. Products tested to recognised standards are designed to minimise odours and emissions.

Yes, the Superior Latex Mattress is naturally hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, and resistant to dust mites, making it suitable for people with allergies and sensitivities. It is vulcanised at temperatures above 110°C, which helps eliminate potential allergens. While some people may react to latex products such as gloves, it is very unlikely that latex used in mattresses will cause an allergic reaction. Natural latex does not emit harmful fumes. A mild rubber scent may be noticeable when the mattress is new, but it fades quickly.

Note: Those with a diagnosed latex allergy should exercise caution.

Yes, the Superior Latex Mattress is naturally breathable and self-ventilating, helping to prevent overheating during sleep. It contains millions of interconnected air cells that promote continuous airflow, keeping the mattress fresh and cool throughout the night. Unlike memory foam, latex is not heat-sensitive and does not retain body heat.

For best results, we recommend using natural cotton bed sheets and duvets to create a comfortable sleep microclimate. Together, these features support excellent temperature regulation, enhanced comfort, and deep, restful sleep.

According to UK law, all mattresses must meet specific fire safety standards and are required to be fire-retardant. We use natural graphite, a mineral derived from nature, as the only fire-retardant additive in our latex mattresses and toppers instead of toxic chemicals. When blended with latex, graphite creates an effective fire barrier while keeping the mattress safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly.

Yes, the layers of the Superior Latex Mattress are securely bonded using a water-based natural latex adhesive, SIMALFA® 325, which is solvent and chemical-free. The adhesive has Green Guard Gold Certification, complies with environmental regulations, and is proven to be completely harmless. SIMALFA® 325 contains no animal-derived substances, making it vegan-friendly.

The Tencel™ Purotex® mattress cover combines natural fibres with advanced probiotic technology to promote a clean and healthy sleep environment.

Guidelines by firmness:

• Soft mattresses: Ideal for children and very light adults (up to 9st / 57kg) who enjoy sinking into the bed.
• Medium mattresses: Suitable for people weighing up to 14st / 90kg.
• Firm mattresses: Recommended for heavier individuals, as they provide denser support to keep the spine aligned.

Sleeping position considerations:

• Side sleepers generally prefer medium mattresses, allowing shoulders and hips to sink slightly for comfort.
• Front (stomach) and back sleepers often find firmer mattresses more comfortable, keeping the spine and back in proper alignment.

Bed base effect:

• The same mattress can feel firmer on a solid divan base and softer on a sprung slatted base.
• Always consider the bed base when choosing your mattress firmness.

The Superior Latex Mattress is suitable for solid divans, sprung divans, slatted bases, and sprung slatted bases, and is fully compatible with adjustable beds.

For proper support, the gaps between slats must be between 2 and 3 inches (5 cm to 7.5 cm). Wider gaps may damage the mattress and invalidate your guarantee. The mattress should not be placed directly on the floor, as poor ventilation can lead to moisture build-up, mould, and mildew.

Latex Sense reserves the right to refuse warranty claims if damage results from inadequate support, excessive slat gaps, second-hand bed bases, or unsanitary conditions.

The Superior Latex Mattress is made from 100% natural latex, which is renowned for its exceptional durability and longevity. With proper care, it can last between 15 and 20 years or even longer, often outlasting many other types of mattresses. Natural latex has high elasticity and resilience, allowing it to return to its original shape after compression and maintain consistent comfort and support throughout its lifespan.

Yes, the Superior Latex Mattress is made using sustainable construction techniques and eco-friendly materials, making it an environmentally responsible choice. Unlike memory foam, it is designed with minimal environmental impact and fewer harmful chemicals. This makes it a green, sustainable option that supports both comfort and long-term environmental care.

All latex mattresses, including the Superior Latex Mattress, have a break-in period of approximately 30 days. This allows your body time to adjust and properly assess the mattress’s comfort and support. The exact time may vary based on your previous mattress and sleeping habits, so we recommend waiting at least 30 days before considering an exchange.

Every new mattress feels different at first, and your body needs time to adjust. It is normal for the Superior Latex Mattress to feel unusual during the early weeks, but comfort and support improve as your body adapts.

That is why we offer a free home trial with free exchanges and returns for UK mainland customers.

Home Trial for the Superior Latex Mattress:

• The initial home trial period is 50 days from the date of delivery.
• If you are not satisfied, our sleep experts will offer personalised advice and help you choose a more suitable option or arrange a return.
• If you choose an exchange, the replacement mattress comes with a new 50-day trial period.
• If the exchanged mattress is still not suitable, you may return it for a full refund.

This policy allows you to try the Superior Latex Mattress at home with complete confidence. 

How to Return or Exchange:

• Requests must be submitted in writing (via email) within the trial period.
• Once authorised, exchanges or returns must be arranged within 14 days.
• On satisfactory return, we will issue a refund of the purchase price.

The Superior Latex Mattress comes with a 15-year manufacturer’s guarantee covering faults in materials and workmanship, including sagging. The warranty applies to visible indentations deeper than 2cm.

What the Guarantee Covers:

• Repair or replacement of the original mattress if a manufacturing fault is confirmed
• Sagging or body impressions exceeding 2cm
• Defects in materials or workmanship

Proof of Purchase:

• A copy of the original sales receipt is required for all warranty claims

Important Guarantee Conditions:

• The guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable
• It remains valid from the original purchase date, even after repair or replacement
• No refunds are issued; faulty products are repaired or replaced
• If the mattress is sold or transferred, the new owner has no warranty rights

Inspection and Assessment:

• Latex Sense may request an independent inspection by an approved third party, such as ISM Networks (Furniture Services)
• Inspections assess both the mattress and the supporting bed base

What Is Not Covered:

• Accidental damage, including fabric tears or cuts
• Damage caused by sharp objects
• Issues resulting from poor bed base support
• Use on unsuitable or unsanitary foundations

Bed Base Requirements:

• Mattresses must be used on suitable bed bases with correct slat spacing
• Damage caused by inadequate support may void the guarantee

Discontinued Products:

• If the original model is discontinued and cannot be repaired, an equivalent replacement may be supplied

Yes. Latex Sense offers interest-free credit on purchases over £400 through Klarna, where we act as a credit intermediary. Credit approval is subject to age and status.
